Hubei Turquoise Necklace with Cantera Opal and Cicada Wing Design on the Reverse
A long oval of Hubei turquoise is set in a patterned bezel, framed by beaded silver and held in the intersection of two long silver curves. A Mexican Cantera opal with lots of fiery play of light sits below to one side. On the back of the turquoise is a hand-drawn and pierced overlay in the shape of a cicada wing. I have given the silver a dark patina and a matte finish.
• The natural Hubei turquoise is about 26mm x 13mm. It has most likely been stabilized for durability.
• This pendant is approximately 2 3/8" long by 7/8" wide.
• The sterling silver 1.9mm reverse rope chain is 18" long. Other chain lengths (in other styles) are available upon request.
