I have made this spider entirely out of sterling silver wire. A garnet sits firmly in the middle of the body. On the underside, two small loops can be used with a safety pin to turn the spider into a brooch, or sewn through like a button to fix it more permanently onto a piece of clothing or hat.
• The natural garnet is 3mm in diameter.
• The spider is approximately 1" long by 1 1/4" wide by 1/2" tall. The legs can be gently bent to reposition them, although repeated or sharp bending in the same area will eventually weaken the metal and cause breakage.
